Several years ago I personally witnessed Nelson Mandela, standing in front of his former prison cell on Robben Island, addressing the world's press. His message was that the pandemic of HIV/AIDS in africa was in fact, a genocide. Since that time I resolved to do as much as I can to bring attention to the HIV/AIDS crisis.

Treatment Action Campaign - Khayelitsha
During her visit to South Africa Annie Lennox visited TAC Khayelitsha where she met up with doctors and nurses at our local clinics to discuss some of the challenges that they experience in their jobs. She also joined our CHA’s on their door to door campaigns where she had the opportunity to engage on a one on one basis with community members and the challenges they face in accessing treatment and services of the health system.
