Several years ago I personally witnessed Nelson Mandela, standing in front of his former prison cell on Robben Island, addressing the world's press. His message was that the pandemic of HIV/AIDS in africa was in fact, a genocide. Since that time I resolved to do as much as I can to bring attention to the HIV/AIDS crisis.

New Video: Annie Lennox and Sir Elton John Open Vrygrond Community Center, South Africa
We are pleased to be able to show you a short film piece from Annies latest trip to South Africa. Annie met with Elton John and David Furnish and visited Vrygrond to mark the official opening of the Vrygrond Community Centre (VCC). The VCC is a joint venture between the Elton John AIDS Foundation, Annie Lennox's SING Campaign, and the Vrygrond Community Development Trust. It will provide vital services for adults and children living locally, up to 13% of whom are already infected with HIV.
