Several years ago I personally witnessed Nelson Mandela, standing in front of his former prison cell on Robben Island, addressing the world's press. His message was that the pandemic of HIV/AIDS in africa was in fact, a genocide. Since that time I resolved to do as much as I can to bring attention to the HIV/AIDS crisis.

Elton John AIDS Foundation Gala Event - South Africa
We are delighted to announce that Annie Lennox and The SING Campaign will be supporting Sir Elton John, David Furnish and The Elton John Aids Foundation on the 23rd March 2010 at an intimate charity gala event taking place at the One&Only Hotel in Cape Town. This black tie event will include a dinner and auction to raise funds for the Elton John AIDS Foundation. With the largest number of people living with HIV in the world, South Africa is the Elton John AIDS Foundation's (EJAF) highest priority in its international funding.
