Several years ago I personally witnessed Nelson Mandela, standing in front of his former prison cell on Robben Island, addressing the world's press. His message was that the pandemic of HIV/AIDS in africa was in fact, a genocide. Since that time I resolved to do as much as I can to bring attention to the HIV/AIDS crisis.

Annie Lennox and SING confirmed for the 2009 Festival of Politics
We are delighted to confirm that Annie Lennox will be attending this years Festival of Politics 18th – 20th August 2009 to present The SING Campaign and speak about the HIV/AIDS pandemic.
A Scottish parliament spokeswoman said: “We are looking forward to welcoming Annie to Holyrood this summer for our Festival of Politics as there is such a strong interest in her experiences with SING. Our full programme launches on July 6 and we are confident that it will be a successful 5th year where politics meets the people.”
